Alpine Chamois, are an amazing animal. They are a species of Goat-Antelope, that live predominantly above treeline in steep and rugged terrain.
You can find Alpine Chamois in groups of up to 80 animals. One of the best times to hunt Alpine Chamois is just prior to the rut. The Alpine Chamois rut in Austria takes place in November and December.
In Europe the hunting for Alpine Chamois is determined by Class. There are 3 classes:
– Class 3 is made up of male and female Chamois 3 years of age and under. — – Class 2 is made up of males 3-7 years of age or femailes 4-9 years of age – – – – Class 1 is made up of males 7 year of age and up or females 10 years plus
The price for this hunt is very very competitive in the market right now. The price includes lodging in a scenic alpine cabin in the hunting area, meals, guiding and airport pick up and drop off.
The hunting area has a very high success rate, as it holds a lot of Alpine Chamois..
We can take 2 hunters and 2 non-hunters per trip.
Season: Alpine Chamois can be hunted from July 16 – December 31
Best time to hunt: mid October-mid November
Hunt Program: 4 nights/ 3 hunting day ( Thursday-Sunday)Price:
-2nd class ( 3-7 years old male or 4-9 years old female) : $3,490 us
-1st class ( min 7 years old male or 10 years old female) : $4,690 us ( 85-95 CIC average, there are a few above 100 CIC every season)

Non hunter fee: $500 us
Wounding an animal is considered the same as killing
Tough terrain, good physical condition required.
The hunt can be combined with 3rd class Alpine Ibex hunt for $4900 us at the neighboring hunting area
Marmot is also available for 500 us extra till end of September
